TMKOC: After Jethalal & Babija Ji, Now Reports Suggest Exit Of Raj Anandkat Aka Tappu From Show

We and every Indian believes that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the greatest show ever made in the history of television. It is highly loved and appreciated by thousands of fans. Not only this, TMKOC also holds the world record for the longest-running (more than 14 years) sitcom.

But it looks like the show is now losing its spark. Many actors who played pivotal characters in the show have quit it already, and now reports suggest Raj Anandkat might quit the show as well. He is the actor who plays Tappu since 2017 and replaced Bhavya Gandhi for the very popular role.

Yes, you read that right and we know the news is heartbreaking. But reportedly, Raj is not coming to the shooting sets for the last few days. And the speculations suggest he might quit the show soon.

On being asked about the same, Mandar Chandawadkar who plays Bhide in TMKOC told Pinkvilla, ‘As artists, we don’t know if he has quit the show but he had some health issues due to which he hasn’t been shooting for the past few days. I haven’t seen him on the set.’

Moreover, there is no confirmation of the news yet. No official source has put a stamp on the exit of Tappu. Hence, there is still a ray of hope. Earlier, reports also suggested Dilip Joshi who plays Jethalal in the show, and Munmun Dutta aka Babita Ji are also planning for their exit. But soon after the news went viral, the actors denied the news and confirmed they aren’t in any mood to quit the show.
Till now, actors like Shailesh Lodha, Disha Vakani, Neha Mehta and Gurucharan Singh have marked their exit from the show.
