Amitabh Bachchan Warned KJo For Brahmastra’s Box Office Failure

Currently, no Indian film has received even half the hype than Karan Johar’s Brahmastra. Releasing after 5-long years of being announced, Brahmastra has beaten every single Indian movie in terms of cost. A superpower tale with cinematic extravaganza, Brahmastra has a hugely talented star cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Nagarjun & many others. 

Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva is touted to be the most expensive Bollywood film ever made. The movie is just a few days away from its theatrical release and the pre-release buzz is highly favourable. Moreover, the advance booking reports suggest that Brahmastra will definitely break several records at box office

But there was a time when film’s senior actor Amitabh Bachchan was not very confident about its performance. Amitabh had reportedly warned movie’s producer Karan Johar that Brahmastra may fail at box office.

Amitabh Bachchan had previously made this bit of a shocking statement after looking at the massively increased production cost and blaming director Ayan Mukerji for wasting time and exceeding the budget of the movie. Brahmastra: part one has been made on an estimated budget of over ₹410 crores making it the most expensive Indian film of all time.

As per a Bollywood Life‘s report, Big-B did not have faith in director Ayan Mukerji because of his delays and long schedules. The report says, “Amitabh Bachchan who is a very disciplined actor was not very pleased with Ayan Mukerji’s delayed schedules and reshoots. At one point in time, the actor was tired of Ayan and very upset that he even met the producer of the film Karan Johar that Ayan is wasting his time and he should stop investing money in the film as the speed with Ayan is going the film will be a disaster.”

However, Amitabh who is playing a pivotal role in this high budget movie, is also hoping that the movie does good in theatres and bring storm at box office as the actors and the team has worked very hard for the film.The report further added, “Right now Amitabh Bachchan is very hopeful that the film works at the box office and every actor was worked very very hard in the film and given their five long years.”

Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva boasts the story of supernatural powers. The makers are hailing it as a hollywood kind of movie as they are introducing Bollywood’s own cinematic universe, ‘Astraverse’. The Ranbir and Alia starrer Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva is releasing on September 9th. Brahmastra: Part one-Shiva is the first installment of the Brahmastra Trilogy.
